that last letter before i see you again-

these last few days have been quite dreary and my heart, lachrymose. it's just one of those "waiting weeks." you know, when your days are composed of long pauses and you sit in front of your window when you know it's almost time for the mail to be delivered, so you just wait on tumblr looking out the window every few seconds. the mail arrives, but of course, nothing for you. nothing. so you just wait again with that same impatience; nevertheless, you wait.

that's where i am right now, waiting. but perhaps i am getting closer to accepting. accepting the very likelihood that that last letter may never come. and you know what? that's okay. it really is because i've received two beautiful letters already from you and they have made my heart so full.

even still, it would only be icing on the cake to get just one more letter from you. it would make it easier for when we see each other after months of separation. it would make walking up to you a little less awkward; though, nothing could relieve such fated emotions during a destined reunion. truth is i'm: nervous, excited, scared, reluctant, and unsure about seeing you again. too much hangs on the line during that one moment, yet i know i'm prone to over think things- everything.

send me one last letter, would you? and in that letter put it all out there. tell me what you really think- hope will happen upon us reuniting. tell me please because the suspense is killing me. i ache at night and wake up thinking of what you could possibly say to me that wouldn't hurt more than the words left unsaid. i just want to know, i need to.

if i've learned anything from one of those random movies that no one has ever heard of, until they're shown on cable tv (i don't have cable, so when i'm babysitting i get to flip through channels while the kids are sleeping) it is, "i am not going to miss out on something great just because it might be hard." if that isn't wisdom, i don't know what is.

just please,

“Don’t leave it all unsaid, somewhere in the wasteland of your head.”-Steven Patrick Morrissey
