a letter to myself because quite frankly, i need some motivation. so here it goes--
dear self,
there are about three weeks left in the semester, which gives you about two weeks of studying and preparation for exams. you've slacked off quite a bit this semester, which is highly unusual for you--but maybe, possibly a good thing for an improving perfectionist. not much has stressed you out in the past, except a few him's and maybe a her here and there--but again, this experience is very new for you.
and the reason your room provokes such melancholy-- you fill it with really sad music. the blue gets so deep when you dismiss its power; you have to cut it off when it begins to bud, drown it with the beauty that surrounds you. you need to crank up some passion pit. *pause (go change your pandora station, this very moment) *back-- ah yes, that's much better. and you can even try florence & the machine after you've had enough falsetto.
oh dear beloved heart of mine, stop falling in love as quickly as you fall out of it. don't you realize by now, how fickle that heart of yours is? remember, "none but the brave deserve the fair..." you've got too much to give. don't settle.
france has always been your greatest, sincerest dream. an old friend reminded you of such days ago, so go to france. stop with the excuses; you can't plan your life according to your friends or fleeting college semesters. if they truly are your friends, they will be your friends when you return. and as for said college semesters, that time will go by anyway-- you have a heart of wanderlust; there's no two ways about it. go baby, go! you are destined to meet a sexy european man. he'll take you for a ride on his red vespa; you'll be so hot on the back of that bike...
this little hiatus from self you've taken--your return is passed due. it's time for you to awaken from your coma. this moment is all there is-- you've missed too much these pass few months. so come on home. trust sane self, it's gonna be alright in the end, if not, then it's not the end. right?
sincerely,
welcome back self-- welcome back.
