but if the sky could cry, why couldn't she?

she had wished she had more time. more time with him, and more time with her-with them. she thought, the most haunting part of a good-bye is the realization that it may, in fact, be the last time you see them.

she had wished that instead of walking away, she would have dropped her burden, and ran back into that corner room to tell him these words, "i forgot something..."and then she would have proceeded to kiss him. it would have been the first time her lips touched another's in almost five years.

she wished she could replay the moment the three of them danced in the rain; and then pause right there. if it were possible, she would replay that single moment for all eternity- because it was in that moment she felt infinite.

it rained as she said good-bye to him. even the sky cried as it watched them part, not knowing when they'd see each other again. when she would feel his arms envelop her, like they so often did.

why was it that the clouds could feel more visibly than she? the tears just wouldn't come. how she wished she'd ran back into that corner room, with stained cheeks, just so she could show him how much he meant to her, and how much she wanted to mean something- anything- to him.

they say you don't realize what you have until it's gone; well, she's the type of person who realizes all that she has- and when it's gone, she's left empty.

and the worst part was, it would begin all over again. new people would come, and there would be more good-byes, but never as hard as this one.

that she was sure of.
