on the exchange of life, for love.
there's an odd paradox in this life: as soon as things start to pick up pace, simultaneously they slow down. how is this possible, you ask? well, an answer i have you not; however, one should note that this juxtaposition in life isn't always negative- in fact, it may often be a good thing. and i write from firsthand experience.
my latest meditations are those of wanderlust- i am consumed with a most overwhelming spirit of fernweh; in german, a crave for travel; being homesick for a place you've never been. who knew one word could wrap up a heart so well?
and then there's this feeling of anticipation of the forthcoming months. the unknowns can be so exciting- for in them, magic exists. and this magic is enough to make a girl swoon.
so you see, i'm willing to fall in love again. over and over and over. i want a love so fierce, so strong, i go to bed at night with a heart beating to love's melody. and the fact is, i just want to sing a new song. i'm not quite sure what that song is yet, or how the chorus goes- but i plan on living my way into each note. and when the notes come to me, one-by-one, they will form into words; soon to become verses. and maybe i won't reach a chorus in this decade, but that's not the point. that's not the purpose of living in the now. the point is to take what you get, as it comes to you, and make something so beautiful out of it, you can't help but to stand in awe of what you've accumulated. a life.
your life.
