on good friends-

so its been a week and two days since my birthday, since i reached my twenties. i finally have the time to sit and reflect on that beautiful day; i spent it with the most lovely of friends. though, i foolishly thought all had forgotten my birthday, i awoke to a knock on my door and a surprise birthday pj breakfast/tea party awaiting me.
my heart was so very overwhelmed, even as i write i am reminded of that feeling..

i truly have good friends. simply put, but perfectly nonetheless.

i walked into a beautiful picnic basket, tea setup, flowers, and a lace "happy birthday" banner- it was such a magical decor.

I love this picture because it is so obvious how unbelievably in love I am with my dear kindred friend.

oh ya, we're pointing at england. the countdown begins, we really are going... so much time dreaming, and hoping, and wishing, and now- now it has become a reality. oh the power of two dreamers, together they'll stop at nothing.

it was truly a most magical day. after hanging out in my dorm room for hours, playing the guitar, laughing and  dancing, i spent the evening with my south african friend, geoff.

we did a bit of studying (yeah, i know..) and just walked around campus laughing and well, it was perfect really. and that's the theme of this new year of my life, at least i'm starting to believe it is. as i embrace the sacred moments, making way for the simple hours- oh how beautiful those moments of complete aliveness can be.

later that night, my sweet friend's jasemin and laura treated me to dinner, and then we went out dancing- such a great time!

i went to bed that night feeling like the most blessed birthday girl on the face of the planet. how perfect can life be? and the next day, oh how it was even more sweeter- but that's another story... swoon.

i arrived at an empty house friday evening, only to find this in the corner of my bedroom.

my mum and papa, bought me a new camera and luggage for my travels this fall. what a lovely, perfect gift. my heart melted as i read the card my little brother wrote me.

to top off my week/extended birthday festivities, i got to spend my favorite holiday with my beautiful family. such a relaxing time, celebrating our savior and the love expressed this resurrection sunday. i am so in love with the lover of my soul.
