autumn in england.
i spent the day in historic york. an absolutely beautiful place.
what a perfect way to welcome the first day of delicious autumn.
"That country where it is always turning late in the year. That country where the hills are fog and the rivers are mist; where noons go quickly, dusks and twilights linger, and midnights stay...That country whose people are autumn people, thinking only autumn thoughts. Whose people passing at night on the empty walks sound like rain."
Ray Bradbury
i'm off to london for the weekend with paige and her lovely family.
then it's time for my studies to begin- after a long pause- on monday.
wishing all you lovelies a happy happy weekend! x
what a perfect way to welcome the first day of delicious autumn.
in french a weeping willow tree is called, l'arbre pleure, translating to "the crying tree."
they have always been my favourite trees, ever since i was a little girl. i called them the poetic trees before i knew their name. there is something so sadly beautiful about them. i dream of having a home one day where weeping willows cover my backyard; i will read and write under these crying trees. how magical it was to find them in this most beautiful of places on our adventure today. le sigh... the poetry of life.
