on discovering the true "windy city."

today marks my one week in england. it wasn't until yesterday morning around 10am i realized it. i felt it as i had hoped. and it was such a profoundly loud epiphany, that moment. the moment i realized, i have arrived. i am 3,000+ miles away from all i have ever known, so very far from the comfortable. and the thing is, i had no expectation of recognizing this moment of realization... as i stood next to my new friend syedah, with the most picturesque view of a beautiful sea, it struck us both at the exact time. we spoke of this moment occurring, yet didn't expect it to happen simultaneously nor so soon. nevertheless, as i have learned many times over, life never happens the way we expect, and i am so past the point of living as if it does. it was in the beginning of this new year, i resolved to letting life happen. and so, as i have attempted to live each day deeply ever since said resolution, here is what i have accumulated. here is my life, so far...

me and syedah.

sunderland bridge connecting both sides of the city.

and they say chicago is the windy city... yeah right!

at the beautiful winter gardens... reminded me of pride and prejudice- absolutely romantic.

the hawaiian and the french man- these boys are a hoot!

americans, brits, and the french! love, love, love this photo! what an amazing night.

and this statue of books? SWOON

it is my prayer that all of life's happenings take your breath away, as they do mine! xoxo
