on the mystery of it all-

it's so true that time flies when you're having fun. it seems like just yesterday jasemin arrived in my little british town. i can still see her for the first time at the airport with the cutest blue luggage and that smile i fell in love with nearly a year ago when we met. since then our friendship has been one of adventure to say the least. here are some snapshots of our time in england, together. as we promised each other six months ago at our goodbye.
this sweet girl came bearing the most thoughtful gifts. a traditional german ginger cookie that reads 'super princess' in german. she said it is a gift a boy gives to a girl or two friends give to each other. a most beautiful journal- how perfect seeing i have almost completed my current one already, and its only been two months. lastly, a frog prince. her words, "to know your prince charming is still out there. don't worry your little broken heart. you will love again." this moment right here, priceless. each day now my little prince watches over me and perhaps i am only a kiss away from said prince.
a day of shopping for our halloween costume. to say we exhausted all possible costume ideas would be an understatement.
halle berry & anne hathaway as catwoman...or something like that.
would you just look at those colors. what a painted sky, and that ocean water- swoon! it was perfect, all so very perfect.
after a three day journey the macaron's j bought me from paris airport arrived- o were they yummy!

so many dancing nights...memories to last a lifetime and then some.
sometimes life is too perfect to believe. you just have to step back and take it all in as we did many moments. a five day sleepover just laughing and catching up on our past six months apart. "we made it happen. can you believe it? we did it." someone pinch me, is this all real? how is it that my fernweh is coming to pass? how is it that one girl can be so blessed? and why in the world me? i have done absolutely nothing to deserve such blessing- that's the incredible mystery of it all...  five days from today i will be on a plane to germany, right behind my pal. spending days in her city then visiting an old friend (my first german friend ever) in berlin. a road trip to france with some of the loviest people ever.

in the midst of all this wonder, lies an aching heart. to think one could of had it all. then i ponder, what if this is just a part of the story. what if this is merely just a chapter- after all, like life, good stories are composed of transition. i am discovering so much in these unfamiliar places.

and i have found that life loved the one who dared to live it.
