on changing fate-
something happened within me during the last two weeks of travelling.
first it was ireland, in a little picturesque town where two girls discovered that it is enough to simply be alone among each other. and i don't quite know how to flesh out the whole of this discovery, but i will try. i will try because it is worth it, and for memory sake, i must look back to something so very tangible and real i cannot deny its once-upon-a-time existence.

there is something so intimate about being in a foreign country, with just two people, and a whole lot of unknown. here is where the question of our travel birthed. the missed flight which redirected us to northern ireland, and then as we made our way down to the little 'p.s. i love you' town of wicklow, via dublin- it was there we wrestled with this notion. we echoed these words:
"if you could change your fate, would you?"
and as time passed, more unexpected happenings, encounters with strangers who changed me from the moment of impact- i became sure of my answer. and it's so violently beautiful, all of it. the whole of what enveloped me that one weekend in ireland. it was in a little town i discovered how to let go and make room for what matters. for what fills you to the brim.
i wouldn't change my fate if i could.
