it just so happens every year i am single on this day called valentines. truthfully, it never really bothered me much- at least not as much as it seems to bother those who refer to it as 'single awareness day.' i don't see what the problem is?

this year, well it was quite special. as my sweet geoffy texted me, "looks like you were spoiled today." and he was more than right; spoiled is an understatement. i was pampered and loved beyond measure today. i guess i should leave the country for months at a time more often...

after my first class i discover these sweet treats below,

three lovely people sent me 'love packs' with the most creative messages on it. and then there's anon, he sent a 'soulmate pack'- whatever that is... still haven't discovered who the secret admirer is...clever little thing!

i get a text from sweet sumera to check my post, only to find this card and heart stickers. see what i mean about having the best friends in the world?

icing on my valentines day was getting asked out to tea with this lovely man. my friend timmy is quite possibly one of the loveliest souls to grace this earth. such agreeable company and conversation- might i add, delicious tea!

last valentines day i spent with some of the same people in the above photo. to be back with them on such a day brought everything full circle. life is full of change and that's so very exciting, but the things that stay the same, well that's just magic! 

i had an international day of love, two potlucks, one with the asian student association and the other with african club. hitting nearly three continents, i did! 

i'd say the day of love was pretty full of just that...and more.

it's the simple things that measure up to be the greatest.
