Sexy Tea Time

i was asked why we chose sexy as the theme for this thursday's tea time. my response, "we were thinking of one thing all of our friends have in common." as they say, a picture speaks a thousand words- so here ya go...

the pretty blue tea set is one i got as an early birthday gift from my aunt, who flew in from new york for the weekened. needless to say, i was thrilled to put it to use so soon.

no sexy tea time is complete without a photobooth to capture all of the sexy...and there was so much of it!

as i am sure you have noticed, elizabeth's fur scarf was quite the party favourite.

 

 

 

 

the boys. basically, they were all kinds of sexy...

and the girls? 

 

after tea time, overwhelmed by all of the sexy and exhausted from the after-dance-party, janea and i sat on our couch at a complete and utter loss of words. not just because our friends are so incredibly amazing, one of a kind. but because this is what life is meant for, tea times- moments where everything around, all of the surrounding busyness and all of the noise, is washed away. it began promptly at 9pm on the thursday before march, but the wonder of it all is that the adventure never ended. these moments give birth over and over again. life is multiplied, spirits are refreshed. 

and the tea, well here's a secret: the tea is simply a reason to get them in the door. on the other side, that's where life takes place. where it will continue to for however many more tea times God grants us. O may they be glorious!

We brought the tea. They brought the sexy.
