on looking upward-

this semester has started off reminiscent of my time abroad. three weeks ago, i had the pleasure of taking eight international students from my uni to my nation's capital--- it was quite the adventure indeed. a proper labor day weekend at that. each day possessed its own magic, its own mystery. i felt like a foreigner in my own land, and it is that very feeling i have become addicted to. there's just something about driving a car where all the passengers speak in a foreign tongue;  for an entire weekend, i was the tour guide and tourist all at once... what a notion.

pankaj, my sweet new friend, invited us over for a lovely Indian dinner. we ate with our hands, with our heart- through all of our senses.

though a longer post is soon to come- international tea time was quite the evening. over forty attendees and so much culture... my heart is so full.

i can hardly believe its been one year since i arrived in the uk. i remember the gentle pull of wanderlust calling me in the direction of my dreams. it has only been a month into my senior year and so much has taken place. looking back on everything that had to happen to bring me to this point in my story, i am both overwhelmed and in awe of the mystery that is this life. its been a rocky ride, a magical ride, but o has it been worth it! here's to all of life's happenings, may they continue to take our breath away!
