on scrapbooking and returning to a new life, newly-

after much time and deep reluctance to spend my own- yes my own- money, i finally just sucked it up and purchased the scrapbook i've had my eye on for some time now. although it was a pretty pricey one, it just captured my heart at first glance and i have been thinking about said album for weeks now. i even went back to michaels once prior to making it my own just to see if it was still in stock. *sigh...it was. needless to say, i bought the beautifully printed booklit that reads, "beautiful life" on the cover. that's what got me, those two words. because i believe la vita รจ bella! i really do.

so i did it. i finally sat down with my stamps and decorative tape and my favorite quotes- i made my first year of college timeless. oh the memories which will resurrect as i look to the scrapbook in the near future. i shall post the finished product when time comes...

two more weeks left at home before i'm off to my home. i can hear boone calling me and i feel my life starting all over again. as it does. two more weeks until i awake to find the mountains outside my window. two more weeks until i am reunited with kindred spirits and will meet more cherished friends. two more weeks until my mind will be consumed in books and fingers numb from essays. oh if only those two weeks could come sooner. if only.

but then there's that feeling of missing. you never win do you? there always exists the bittersweet. there will always be someone to miss. if not friends, then family. if not family, then friends. if only i could merge all the lives i have ever lived together to compose one whole life, there would be no room for lachrymose due to the void that fills a heart- such as mine- prone to nostalgia...*deep sigh- i am reminded that it is good to have people to miss; i should rather missing than the absence of such.

besides i get snow in a few months, that'll give me a reason to return to charlotte. snow is wonderful- being that i lived in chicago and montclair i am fond of it. nevertheless, there's only so much one can take without going stir crazy. but isn't my campus lovely when all dressed in white?

i should say so...

boone baby, i'm coming for you. welcome me with open arms- once again.
